The Nest at The White Eagle
The Nest is a four-bedroom apartment above the well-known White Eagle pub in Rhoscolyn. It's pet-friendly, and the interior is showing some gentle wear in places, but the location does a lot of the talking, just a 10-minute walk (4-minute drive) to the beach and close to the coastal path and The White Arch (Bwa Gwyn). If you fancy eating out, the highly-rated White Eagle pub is right downstairs, serving good pub food and real ales.
A set of narrow steps inside the building takes you up to the first floor. Step through the door and you're straight into the kitchen-diner, it's a bit like a Tardis, with rooms leading off in every direction from there. There's a nook for coats and shoes as you come in. The kitchen is well equipped for family meals, beach picnics or evening dinners, with an island that works well for casual gatherings, and the dining area sits in a sunny alcove with room for eight.
The living room has two large sofas and two armchairs around a wood burner, good for cosy evenings, plus two Juliette balcony doors that bring in light and coastal views. A small utility cupboard and a cloakroom (toilet and sink) lead off the living room. From here you can also step out onto the patio, an enclosed spot that catches the sun nicely. There's a duct running down from the restaurant kitchen below, but it's tucked out of the way and doesn't intrude on the space. From the lounge you get sea views, and on one side, a look over The White Eagle's gardens.
There are four bedrooms in total, each with their own storage. Off the kitchen-diner are a super-king bedroom and a bunk bedroom, along with a family bathroom (stand-alone bath, walk-in shower, toilet, sink, heated towel rail). Off the living room are a twin bedroom (convertible to super-king) and a second super-king bedroom sharing the same coastal views as the living room, plus a second family bathroom (bath with shower over, sink, toilet, heated towel rail).

The Location
Rhoscolyn means "Column Moor," possibly referencing a historic standing stone. Nestled on Holy Island’s southern tip, this tranquil village boasts stunning views of the Irish Sea and the Lleyn Peninsula.
Famed for its rocky coastline and hidden coves, Rhoscolyn’s Borth Wen Beach offers golden sands, rock pooling, and calm waters for paddling. Water sports lovers can enjoy kayaking, snorkeling, and fishing, while walkers can explore the Anglesey Coastal Path, passing Bwa Du and Bwa Gwyn rock formations.
The White Eagle pub is a must-visit for seafood lovers, and nearby Trearddur Bay and Valley provide more amenities. Rhoscolyn is a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.
