Our Commitment to Sustainability
With over 90 holiday homes across Anglesey, we recognise our responsibility to protect the island’s natural beauty and support local communities. At AHL, responsible tourism means minimising our environmental impact and maximising positive contributions through partnerships, charitable giving, and community initiatives.
We’re proud to be nearing £50,000 in fundraising for causes close to our hearts and have recently launched a new initiative: from May 17th, 2025, £1 from every booking will be donated to Bowel Cancer UK. In April 2025, our Managing Director, Jamie, completed the record-breaking TCS London Marathon (56,640 finishers) and raised over £5,000 for Alzheimer’s Research UK, a proud moment for the whole AHL team.
Building a Legacy
Starting from May 2025, we proudly introduced our ‘Pay Back Model’, pledging to donate £1 from every guest booking to charity.
This initiative guarantees that with every holiday booked, something meaningful is given back to communities and causes that need it most. We rotate the charities we support, ensuring a wide range of incredible organisations benefit throughout the year.
Importantly, this commitment is fully funded by AHL, but we know many of our owners share our passion for making a difference. Together, we’re not just providing outstanding holiday, we’re building a legacy of care and community across Anglesey and beyond.

Flagship Partners: We are proud to stand alongside our flagship charity partners, supporting incredible causes such as The Royal Marines Charity, The Afghan Sports Trust, Alzheimer’s Research UK, and Bowel Cancer UK.
Local Support: 2025 has seen our focus intensify on our local community. We’ve backed local schools, Môn Gymnastics, and football clubs across the island.
Looking Ahead: We’re raising the bar again this year with a series of bold fundraising challenges, all in support of Bowel Cancer UK:
- National Three Peaks Challenge (May 2025)
- Snowdonia Ultra Marathon (July 2025)
- Ring of Fire: a 135-mile ultra marathon around the coastline of Anglesey (September 2025)
By introducing a more sustainable fundraising model: in which a portion of our booking fees will now be donated directly to our chosen charity partners, we’re creating a consistent, long-term impact.

Sustainability in Action
Our approach to sustainability is woven into every aspect of our operations:
- resiAIR™ Technology: A select properties now feature this advanced system designed to cut energy consumption while enhancing guest comfort.
- Sustonica Accreditation: Sustonica homes go above and beyond in reducing their environmental impact. Look out for the Sustonica badge on our listings!
- Humphreys Waste Recycling Ltd: All our waste is processed by Humphreys, a company that sends 0% to landfill, achieving their incredible zero-to-landfill target.
Sustainability delivers more than environmental benefits, it enhances guest experiences, lowers running costs for owners, and protects our beautiful island for future generations.
