Lovely peaceful place with fabulous views over the garden. Very well equipped and immaculately clean. Ann observation would be that it was on the chilly side in the living area with no instructions as to how to increase the heating! ( it was a November stay!). We will be back!!

Janet, 17 November 2024

Our second stay at Brackens. So it can't be that bad. However, the beds could REALLY do with attention or replacement. With the house and it's facilities being so good, the poor comfort of the beds really stands out. Our friends left early as the husband just could not sleep due to a bad back. Als...

We both had a real wow moment when we arrived the property and the location with incredible views. clean modern and comfortable it was exactly what we hopped for and didn't disappoint . so much so we immediately re booked for early next year.

Trevor, 11 September 2024

The view is outstanding and it was so nice to be able to walk to the bottom of the garden and onto the beach. The house is spacious and makes good use of the views. There were a couple of small issues such as the garden is definitely not secure for dogs, the bedding isn't the most comfortable, poo...

Wonderful location with amazing views of Snowdon across the estuary. Comfortable accommodation and had everything we needed for a very enjoyable week. So peaceful and lovely to see the bird life on the estuary. Would highly recommend.

Ken, 26 June 2024

An opportunity to occupy something out of Grand Design, albeit with an overgrown example of rewilding. The access to the estuary was rather disappointing due to the overgrown nature of the garden path and the weed covered estuary shoreline. The property was certainly clean and well equipped, althoug...

Stunning house, amazing views! Beds a little uncomfortable but that's the only negative. Still 5*!!!

Helen, 01 May 2024

Lovely accommodation, on the coastal path and close to the water's edge. Had a great time and will return again. Beautifully maintained.

PAMELA, 22 April 2024

Excellent property - possibly the nicest we've stayed in - only drawback was the lack of a tumble dryer. We will definitely return though.

Guest, 28 March 2024

In a beautiful location if wanting to get away from it all with stunning views across the estuary. Even though quiet location, not to far to drive to Rhosneigr or Rhoscolyn and only 30 minutes from other areas with more going on

Sharleen, 28 February 2024

The house was perfect for us. Much better than the photos. We loved the views, walks, sitting area, room heights a d open space, books and games, Only small critique - The smart tv advertised wasn't smart

Kasenya, 21 February 2024

The house is well equipped, warm and spacious, but the main event is the view. We had pretty dreadful weather but could still have just sat and looked out of the window for a week. Anglesey is great - easy to get around, beautiful beaches and good walks. Anglesey Lettings very helpful

Elizabeth, 14 February 2024

Beautiful location, well presented house and well equipped kitchen. Garden was secure but the dogs were driven crazy by all the bunnies and small dogs would be able to escape the gates. Definitely considering another stay and miss the view of the estuary. We did find the temperature too high - we ar...

Sarah, 21 December 2023

Great property. Great location. Already planning our return visit. The only negative regarding the whole week was that food outlets in Angelsey seem to hibernate ( not surprising, I suppose ). Our trip in November saw us struggle to find decent food, or open outlets, and had us visiting Waitrose f...

Trevor, 29 November 2023

This house is beautiful and the views are stunning . This was a return visit for us all and the children just love the freedom they have here . Playing in the gardens and walking by the estuary . The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay . Communication before and if required during y...

Michelle, 18 November 2023

We stayed at the Brackens for 4 nights in early November. When we arrived we were really impressed by the overall external look of the property. The house itself is really impressive, nice and airy with enough seats in each of the rooms for everyone to have their own space. The windows at the rear...

Kerry, 08 November 2023

This property is absolutely stunning with amazing views from all aspects. It is very well appointed and comfortable with everything you might need including hundreds of beautiful books. Lots of lovely walks nearby and the wild garden is just amazing completely in keeping with the position and surrou...

Katherine, 04 October 2023

Fabulous house, fabulous views, private, roomy and well appointed. Really well placed for everything the region has to offer.

Guest, 27 September 2023

We had a fantastic week at The Brackens, so relaxing just watching the constant changing view. House was lovely, clean, spacious with everything provided. The beds were a little uncomfortable hence the lower mark. Perfect location for walking and cycling hardly used the car which was great for my hu...

MICHELLE, 15 September 2023

Superb views of Snowdonia across river estuary teeming with bird life. The house is very well appointed and offers good views from the interior. Binoculars and telescope are not good. Garden is neglected…..could do with a decent lawn adjacent to the house.

Andrew, 06 September 2023

Lovely beautiful house, location on the estuary was amazing but just a shame every and shops/beach/restaurant was a drive away. House was clean and tidy but the rear garden was quite overgrown. Outdoor shower was lovely with a great view but the floor could do with a jet wash. Didn't find the doub...

Stephen, 16 August 2023

This is a fabulous holiday house. Amazing setting and views. The house is very spacious and in the most part well equipped (only criticism could do with a few more glasses!). We loved the out door shower after a swim in the estuary. We will definitely book again! Anglesey holiday lettings communic...

Guest, 15 August 2023

Everything spotlessly clean. Lovely views. Good position for getting out and about. Perfect all round and well eqiped but could do with more in the way of saucepans and bowls. If I had to make any negative comments it would be the wifi, it was very poor so to have a smart TV is pretty pointless, we...

Jacqueline, 05 July 2023

The location and views are stunning. The accommodation is of high standard. The garden however was a little unkept and was over run with rabbits which wasn't ideal with two Labradors. In the end we couldn't let them out without being out with them so not quite the relaxing stay we'd hope for and ...

Gail, 03 June 2023

Brought my Mum, daughter (8yrs) and niece (7yrs) here for a long weekend over the Kings Coronation weekend. All we can say is what a stunning house, even better than the pictures. We were lucky with the weather and the views are dreamy. We loved having a walk down the garden and pottering about on t...

Carmel, 13 May 2023

Very easy process from beginning to end . House was fantastic, amazing views and perfect location. The house is well maintained and had everything you could I possibly need. We have already booked to return !!

Michelle, 08 April 2023

Simply stunning property ! The house is modern , beautifully designed, and really well kitted out with top end appliances . It was very warm , comfortable and lacked for nothing . The views across the estuary are unparalleled and mesmerising. It was a joy to stay there and it was great that they a...

Helen, 05 March 2023

Beautiful house located in a very quiet location. Lovely views.... Definitely TV needs a upgrade... we hardly got a chance to watch a Netflix because TV was so old. Garden still needs a bit of work. But that's about it. ... Definitely I would recommend these property...

Anna, 27 February 2023

Our kids are obsessed with the beach and the sea whatever the season so this was the perfect location for our recent family break: just a couple of minutes walk down the steps through the wild garden and we are there, paddling and looking for tiny crabs. Being so close to the water and with so much ...

The Location

Malltraeth means "sandy place" in Welsh, reflecting its estuary setting. A haven for walkers and nature lovers, The Cob offers a mile-long scenic path with views of Shelducks, a favourite of artist Charles Tunnicliffe.

Explore Llyn Parc Mawr for red squirrels or cycle through Newborough Forest’s scenic trails. Newborough Warren’s beaches, dunes, and wildlife make it ideal for family adventures. The Wales Coast Path offers stunning coastal views, and Llanddwyn Island accessible at low tide, is a must-visit.

For food, try The Codmother’s fish and chips or Tacla Taid’s café in Newborough. Perfect for walkers, cyclists, and wildlife enthusiasts, Malltraeth is a true Anglesey gem.
