The accommodation is very comfortable for a stay on Anglesey. The near-beach location is ideal for dog walkers and we find it very convenient to access all the island without travelling too far. The kitchen is well stocked for utensils and the beds are comfy. It must be good as we've been coming for...

Bwthyn Branwen is a lovely peaceful cottage to stay in . This is our 2 nd year we have stayed here, same time last year but we added a week , which we found very relaxing . We had 3 dogs in tow and were able to enjoy all the wonderful walks around Aberffraw in all weathers . We enjoyed talking t...

Dave, 25 January 2025

A nicely presented property with easy access to coastal path and gorgeous long beach. Although the kitchen and living room are a bit small for four adults and two dogs it is manageable and reflected in the price. The downstairs bedroom is also quite small but not a show stopper and the downstairs ...

Jane, 06 January 2025

Stayed in Bwthyn Branwen in September. This is not the first time we have used Anglesey Holiday Lettings so I already had great expectations on this little cottage. It did not disappoint. I stayed with my Mum and our two dogs. It was just the right size for us both. Mum opted for the downstairs...

Sharon, 30 October 2024

Had a brilliant few days in this cottage, we were so lucky with the weather and the walk down the estuary leads to the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. We used the charger for our car without any issues, cannot think of anything negative about the cottage perfect for us, we have booked again f...

Julie, 26 September 2024

This is the second time that we've stayed at the property for our summer holidays. It's perfect for us (a family of three, though the property sleeps four). It is lovely and clean, has two gorgeous bathrooms-really handy when everyone gets home from the beach and has an electric car charge point w...

Lynne, 10 August 2024

We found the cottage quite spacious and having ground level shower room was ideal, and the car charger was very handy

Carole Ann, 17 July 2024

We stayed again in Bwythn Branwen and really enjoyed our time there. The initial contact was clear and helpful The only minor problem was that the description to get there went via Plas Newydd and Newborough whereas Google maps took us via Bethel which we found to be a much better way. The cottage w...

David, 03 July 2024

The cottage was well-equipped and comfortable; the condition of the worktop and nest of tables would prevent top marks all round. The staff were helpful and friendly and the on-site cafe was a big plus. With the pub in Aberffraw now closed, this left just the local shop as a nearby amenity - but tha...

Lesley, 22 June 2024

The holiday let was as it said clean and beautifully decorated would definitely recommend it for a nice quiet break will certainly book it again.

Eric, 15 May 2024

A really nice cottage; good customer service from the agency too. Clean and relatively new appliances and comfortable stay. The heating did struggle to cope at times; heat exchangers are known for this unless a property is completely draught free. Would go again and recommend to others.

Guest, 27 January 2024

Really lovely stay at Bwthyn Branwen. Loved the location. Cottage had everything we needed. Did find the heating a bit hit and miss but nothing to stop us returning. The beds were extremely comfortable. Hope to return in the near future. Good space at the front for our dogs.

Susan, 17 November 2023

Our second stay at this lovely place.Wet-room was updated, made it not easy for a wheelchair to turn

Carole, 21 October 2023

A very enjoyable week away. Great location, easy walking to the beach. Cottage was comfortable for three of us and one dog. Everything you needed to have a fab time. Would definitely recommend.

Sharon, 27 September 2023

We come here every year for a week to relax , great place to chill , the accomodation is clean and well presented in a modern style, plenty of good walks and places of interest to visit , boked for nexf year already.

Christopher, 21 September 2023

We stayed here two years ago & loved it, so chose it again for a family holiday. You get a small discount if you've started before, which is nice. My Mum-in-law is wheelchair bound, so the wet room & downstairs bedroom was ideal. The bathrooms have had a gorgeous makeover since we were here last, & ...

Neil, 13 September 2023

Lovely cottage clean & comfortable Lovely comfortable beds Well equipped kitchen although the chopping boards could do with replacing Maybe a small airer to hang wet bath towels on. First visit to angelsey & loved it

Julie, 02 August 2023

The Stay was great the cottage was very close to fabulous beach ideal for the dogs I would certainly go back again. They only short fall I found was when stripping bed there was no mattress protector.

Lynne, 19 July 2023

Nice little house in Aberffraw . Beds were comfy. The downstairs living room/kitchen/dining area is open-plan and is very small. It was ok for us (2 adults and 2 small dogs) but 4 adults would be a squeeze. Showers were good. People should be aware that the pub in the village has closed permanently...

Ian, 12 July 2023

Lovely little cottage. Perhaps need to state ‘no back garden. Beds really comfortable with sensible size duvets on single beds. Replaced battery in clock as it was irritating not working. Metal tab on kitchen unit needs correction as screws keep loosening they need new plugs. These were very ...

Guest, 05 July 2023

Excellent property. Plenty of parking. Nice village to stay in yet easy to get to all the interesting places.

David, 28 June 2023

The whole experience was first class, The accommodation was excellent, well furnished beautifully it was very comfortable clean & spacious. Loved the cows at the rear of the property will certainly return. Thankyou

Beverley susan, 23 June 2023

Smell was coming from cupboard containing pans etc took dish down from top shelf, found it contained a pear that was gradually turning to liquid, not a pretty site. The cupboard still had a peculiar smell the day we left. The two cutting board are not fit for purpose, would have disposed of them a lo...

Gwen, 03 May 2023

A lovely holiday with our dog. The cottage is in a nice location. With a bit more attention to detail I would have given five stars but we had to clean stains off the lounge carpet when arrived. The pillows on beds do need replacing and more comfy cushions in lounge and a foot stool would make it m...

Cindy, 20 April 2023

We had a lovely stay at Bwthyn Branwen. Both of the bathrooms have been refurbished so we were really surprised as they are so much nicer than the photos on the website - they are really lovely. Plenty of parking, lovely cafe just over the carpark where we had breakfast one morning. Very nice & defi...

Chris, 13 April 2023

This little cottage was in the majority of places beautiful and others a little tired. What looked like newly done bathrooms/kitchen were gorgeous. Beds downstairs very noisy and too soft and marked/stained in places. The most tired looking part was the blind in the lounge on window to large porch, ...

Ann, 11 April 2023

We loved our stay here. Lovely cottage ideal for 2 people and 2 dogs. We will definitely return here.

Susan, 30 March 2023

This is the second time we have stayed in the Aberfrraw cottages. For us, with our two Spaniels, it is an idyllic location. The dunes and beaches virtually on your doorstep are beautiful. Clean and empty. Great adventure for the dogs and a lovely walk. Just perfect. Aberfrraw has all the basic...

Lloyd, 15 February 2023

Clean and well presented. Aberffraw was perfect for us as close to family. Very short walk to beach and coastal paths.

Guest, 28 January 2023

We were on a road trip round Wales and this cottage was by far the nicest of all our rentals. It was nicely decorated, well equipped and perfectly located. For rainy days or just chilling, the TV is a smart TV so a variety of programmes are available. For those with dogs, there is a downstairs bathr...

Gill, 25 October 2022

Very pleased with the cottage, good position and outlook to the rear. Village a bit dull. Unusual key safe took 20min for myself and 2 neighbours get it open...

Gordon, 21 October 2022

Lovely little cottage perfect for travelling around Anglesey, could do with a new mattress in main bedroom as when we removed bedding at end of stay the mattress had a lot of staining on it ,if it was changed it would have been perfect.

Ian, 12 October 2022

This cottage is lovely and well equipped and brilliant if you are wanting to take elderly or disabled people away as it caters for them extremely well. We did have a small problem during our stay which was dealt with within 30 minutes will definitely be booking again

Guest, 29 September 2022

We have stayed in this cottage twice. The location is lovely. Fabulous cafe just across the road. The staff in the office were very helpful. Because of my disability, I do find the chairs a little uncomfortable. Too low to get out of and no way to have your feet up.A recliner chair would be ideal.

Lesley, 21 September 2022

Good accommodation for person with restricted mobility being able to enjoy a holiday in pleasant, quiet location and surroundings. Would recommend to others, hopefully more similar accommodation be available in the future to enable disabled people enjoy a first class holiday with other guests on Angle...

Lovely cottage in a great location. Just a 5 minute stroll to the beautiful beach. Would definitely book again

Rachel, 27 April 2022

Had a beautiful stay at Llys Llewelyn Aberffraw , the walk to the beach is beautiful a hidden gem around the corner. We dined at the Oystercatcher in Rhosneigr then took a walk along the beach again another hidden gem. Slate black rocks popping out of the sand!. We travelled to Newborough beach and ...

Tracey, 20 April 2022

Really great place, warm cosy, very clean, walk from beach, local pub - great for a few days getaway!

Jill, 02 April 2022

Team very helpful regarding my disabled husband. They moved a bed so he could move freely in the bedroom. Lovely cottage, well thought out for the disabled visitor

Carole, 31 January 2022

Dad was really impressed with the new carpet thank so much he said a great improvement to the cottage.

John, 07 January 2022

Small basic cottage with all amenities, comfy beds, powerful showers. Great to stay with friends in adjoining cottages. Beautiful location a couple of minutes to the sand dunes and amazing beach. Great customer service from the owner and Anglesey holiday lettings Thanks

Eleanor, 08 June 2021

First of all, the brilliant points: Lovely accommodation, and for disabled guests it is ideal, with a downstairs bedroom & a large wet room. The beds were very comfortable. Everywhere was clean. Nice crisp towels. Basics were provided: washing up liquid, sponge, dishcloth, tea towels, hand wash in t...

Neil, 05 May 2021

The accommodation was very comfortable (particularly the beds) and clean. It was airy, bright and warm. Well located on the edge of the village. The village shop and pub were close by. An excellent location for walks along the beach, country lanes and close to the ‘church in the sea'. We enjoyed o...

Just returned from a 5 day break in Aberffraw. Cottage was perfect for both of us and our two dogs. Cottage very warm and cosy. Tracy, 16 January 2020

Super, warm, clean and cosy.A great base for a walking holiday. The nearby village pub has friendly locals, great beers and great food. One tiny thing the beds could do with mattress covers.

Guest, 19 November 2019

A beautiful cottage in the most wonderful surroundings, close to the most breathtaking little cove especially when out with the dogs and the sun is rising. Fantastic pub in the village serving wonderful home cooked food.

Alison, 04 November 2019

This was our fourth visit since September 2018. I think that says it all. Our next visit will hopefully be next spring. No parking problems. If our dog could speak I'm sure she would say the beach is her idea of heaven!!

Guest, 07 October 2019

Lovely cosy cottage. Ideally situated in a quiet village close to a lovely stretch of sandy beach.Suitable for wheelchair users and dog friendly. Definitely ready booking.

Gillian, 25 September 2019

I stayed here with my elderly mother and the cottage had everything we wanted. She has limited mobility so the wet room was a godsend. There aren't many cottages which are so perfectly adapted. We even used the outside bbq area which has a wonderful view.

Janice, 18 August 2019

We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage, it was a great location with a beautiful local beach. The cottage was good for 3 people but on the small side if there had been 4 of us. It was clean and functional but there were a few things missing eg. space to dry clothes and space in the downstairs bed...

Guest, 05 August 2019

This is our third visit and we will be returning yet again in September. Think this says it all. The location is ideal, so near to the sea. If you like quiet this is the place. Perfect.

Maureen, 16 July 2019

The cottage had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable and was in a convenient location near the coastal path and for visiting other areas of Anglesey and also Snowdonia National Park. We hope to return for another holiday soon.

Malcolm, 10 July 2019

The only thing we would like to mention is that the cottage hasn't been cleaned at all upon our arrival. It was really disgusting, especially the kitchen. It looked like the previous guests just left the cottage a few minutes after our arrival. The problem has been solved the following day, but onl...

Gabriela, 07 July 2019

Fantastic cottage overlooking field. We had a great stay, plenty of room for 4, all facilities we needed. Would definately stay again and recommend.

Lynn, 13 June 2019

We had the most relaxing time. It's by the laundry but who cares when the staff who pass by are so pleasant. They always have a word with the dog as she watches them, feet on the wall. This is our second visit and within ten days of getting home have booked again. Having read various reviews ther...

Maureen, 20 April 2019

Enjoyed out short stay. Maybe more suited to 2 Adults & 2 Children. We were a party of 4 Adults and found the single beds to be rather small. Double duvets on single beds would be more comfy for adults. Overall very pleasant. Locals at Crown Pub very friendly and although we didn't eat there the foo...

Susan, 30 December 2018

Couldn't ask for more. Just what we wanted. Couldn't believe how close the fabulous beach was. Our dog thought she was in heaven. We will be returning to same cottage hopefully. Thank you

Clive, 08 October 2018

This is our second visit to this holiday cottage, it is in a great location, warm and cosy. The house has everything that you need in it.

Liz, 22 September 2018

Bwhwyn Branwen is a cute little cottage just off the A4080 and at the entrance to the village of Aberffrew on Anglesey. It is clean, modern and well equipped and provides all the necessary adaptations for a disabled person including a designated parking space. After entering via a spacious entrance...

Glyn, 17 September 2018

Lovely & deceptive cottage with rather ‘sheepish' neighbours that said daily hellos through the living room window :)... This cottage is a home from home & was perfect for our half term week away, 10 mins walk to being on the beach which is fantastic & less than 5 mins from The Crown pub which se...

Sharon, 10 June 2018

Excellent property clean and tidy with everything we needed for our holiday, we've stayed next door but one in the past this is a slightly bigger place its set up to accommodate wheelchair use with wider doors and a downstairs wetroom, across the car park theres a cafe that does a excellent breakfa...

Christopher, 22 May 2018

The cottage was a cozy little retreat for our break. The first night was the coldest of the year with a bitter wind and we were easily warm enough. Aberffraw is a beautifully placed little village with a pub to die for as well as lovely walks to the massive beach either down the river or through the...

John, 15 February 2018

Nice cottage in a great location. The local beach is stunning. We loved walking along the estuary to this beautiful, clean and quiet beach with our two Basset Hounds. We will 100% book this cottage again when we visit Anglesey.

Emma, 23 November 2017

We love staying at this property, it has so much to offer brilliant beaches great views very peaceful, accommodation is fantastic everything you would need for a comfortable stay

Liam, 06 November 2017

Good refurbishment of property although equipment a bit limited in some ways. Could do with lights over twin beds in downstairs bedroom, some 'mood' lighting in sitting area, loo roll holders in each loo, and towel rail in upstairs shower room. I had to buy washing up bowl and some coat hangers (whi...

Chris, 28 October 2017

Clean and comfortable accommodation. My husband is wheelchair bound. The wet room is a good size to manage. The down stairs bedroom is two single beds with little room between them and not much room for the wheelchair to turn around. Upstairs is a very comfortable double bed with its own seperate sh...

G, 02 October 2017

The property was as detailed in the description including the walk times to pub and beach. It was dog friendly which was important to us. Worth some basics supplied as well when arriving. (Tea, coffee, milk etc) We did have a glitch with the heating but the response was good to sort it out and it w...

Dennis, 18 September 2017

Another great holiday at the above cottage. We have stayed in the same cottage on 2 other occasions so will loved the new refit. Lovely beach close by which our dog and grandson both enjoyed. The food in the local pub is superb and the local tea room is lovely for a light lunch and a great breakfast...

Terence, 13 August 2017

A lovely, clean, nicely decorated cottage minutes walk from the beautiful beach of Aberffraw. Good parking, facilities and dog friendly

Jackie, 06 August 2017

very good location very good property clean in reach of many other places on the island ,would reckamend

Brian, 14 June 2017

Whilst BB was a very neat and quite well-thought out place, it would not have been adequate for four people. Living space would be cramped. Downstairs light levels were low, largely because the sitting room looked out towards the front through a glazed hall; to prevent being overlooked I had to ke...

The Location

Aberffraw means “Estuary of the River Ffraw,” with ‘Aber’ meaning estuary. The beach, locally called ‘Traeth Mawr’ (“Big Beach”), is a stunning sandy bay surrounded by dunes. This peaceful village on Anglesey’s west coast is perfect for families, dog walkers, and beach lovers. A small shop and Llys Llewelyn tea rooms, known for homemade cakes, serve the community. Nearby, the Church in the Sea (St Cwyfan’s) sits on a tidal islet, magical at low tide. Scenic coastal paths offer views of Bardsey Island, the Llyn Peninsula, and Snowdonia, while Rhosneigr provides more dining and shopping options.

About Us

Whats to know about us? We’re a friendly, local team based on the Isle of Anglesey. We’ve got a range of experiences and backgrounds but most importantly we love the Island. We are keen to work with you to make your holiday as perfect as possible.
