Owain’s Brace is far more than first meets the eye! A welcome return, this linked duo of Shepherd’s Huts sits along side Llyn Maelog with nothing but fields, fresh air and big skies. It’s built for couples, dog owners, walkers and anyone who wants to step out of the noise and into something natural.

Inside, the huts are modern and unfussy. A proper king-size bed facing the lake, a cool bathroom with a free standing bath, a simple kitchen and a log burner that turns grey Welsh weather into a vibe of it's own. Watching clouds roll across the water with the fire going is a whole mood in itself.

Step outside and it hits differently. The garden is fully fenced and surrounded by open fields, so dogs can roam while you wander barefoot to the wood-fired hot tub. There’s an outdoor shower for the brave, a sky full of stars for the dreamers, and the kind of stillness you only get when you’re miles from anything, except the odd fox, badger or chatty bird passing through.

Walks start from your door. Rhosneigr is five minutes away when you want surf, food or civilisation. But the truth? Most people come here to switch off, slow down and stay put.

Owain’s Brace is a romantic escape, a wild little adventure, and a place that feels off-grid without actually being off-grid and with new owners and big plans, this is just the beginning. So watch this space.

What a place!! We had the best week in mid July, it was the perfect location to explore Anglesey but the highlight was the hut. Finished to a very high standard, clean and cosy, fantastic views over the lake with plenty of wildlife and the planes taking off from the nearby airfield to keep you enter...

We had a wonderful week in this brilliant location. The huts are a brilliant design and furnished to a high standard. The welcome pack was fantastic and delicious. We adored the island and will be back next year.

A super stay in our favourite part of Anglesey. Super stylish and well equipped on the inside and a delightful woodfired hot tub on the out. Friendly owners nearby and on hand if you need them.

We had a lovely time at Owain's Brace , the huts are in a fantastic position with an easy walk around the lake bringing you to the sand dunes and Oystercatcher a little further on brings you into Rhosneigr. The huts themselves have everything you need, comfy bed and lots of little extras that make...

Wow. What an amazing place. Secret hide away from the world. Overlooking a private lake. With access to walks around it. Very safe and secure grounds for anyone with dogs. Our 2 bulldogs loved the area. Watching horses in the Field opposite. Cosy cabin, very comfy high bed, lounge chairs to sit and ...

An utterly charming shepherds hut with really luxurious touches ( robes ) which were excellent quality . We were staying to celebrate our ruby wedding and sitting out on the evening watching the sunset was beautiful . On arrival the wine and cheese was a lovely surprise and really appreciated . Ther...

Anglesey is a beautiful part of the Country and Owains Brace was simply delightful. Stayed for 4 nights with my wife and our dog. We followed the directions and on arrival were unsure about driving past someone's house but set back around the corner is the shepherd's hut. The location is perfect and...

This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed - it was so good we booked for an additional night the day we were due to leave! The hut is far bigger than it appears and is filled with little luxuries everywhere. The bathroom is like something out of a 5* hotel and the bed is very com...

We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay this August. The pair of joined shepherds huts gave plenty of space for the two of us and our ten-year-old Norfolk terrier. The welcome pack of cheese, wine, and biscuits was a lovely touch, and it was great to be able to walk to the Oyster Catcher, beach, ...

Quite a surprise location when you get there carefully through the yard of the main house. Looks good on approach with the accomodation in a small area of garden backing directly onto fields and a great view over the lake Llyn Maelog . The two shepherds huts are split into kitchen and welfare and th...

We were expecting something special from this holiday and it over delivered. There really was nothing to fault. The accommodation, the location, the booking agents, the hosts... heck, even the sun shone the whole time we were there. It was a holiday myself and my wife truly needed. We've been to so...

Alan, 09 August 2022

Beautiful accommodation, finished to an exceptional standard. Very pleasant stay, stunning lakeside view. Would definitely book this accommodation again.

Matthew, 06 August 2022

Booked this as a surprise trip for husband, dog and me. Soon as saw the photos it looked amazing and too good an opportunity to miss. When we got there I was delighted to realise the place was every bit as wonderful as the photos showed. Incredibly relaxing, privacy, sandy beaches on your doorstep, ...

We arrived to find lovely welcoming touches, a little decanter of sherry, fresh coffee, cheese and biscuits. There was also milk in the fridge. Our dog was treated too with a dog mattress, towel, bowl and dog treats. These things sum up the attention to detail throughout the huts. The kitchen is wel...

Wow! We have stayed at Owain's Lake view (next door) a few times. On our visit in Feb we saw the Shepherd Huts being built. Once they became available we booked a stay here. Lisa & Brett have put everything into these beautiful huts. 2 connecting huts giving ample room. We arrived to the radio playi...

Nicollette, 06 July 2022

The accommodation is beautiful and the space has been used perfectly. You can tell how much effort has gone into make it feel spacious and comfortable; with the two huts braced together and set out so thoughtfully and conveniently, while the surrounding decking and patio windows add so much that fee...

This ‘little gem' of a property is situated in the most idyllic location in my ‘Happy Place'. Everything about Owain's Brace is stunning and I was so sad to leave. The owners Lisa & Brett have made this the perfect place to enjoy your stay on Anglesey. Everything is perfect. It is truly a litt...

The Location

Winner of the Green Coast seaside award, Rhosneigr is a lovely village situated on the beautiful west coast of Anglesey. It’s a fantastic location no matter the weather or season.

The village has two brilliant golden sand beaches, which are great for water sports, particularly wind and kite surfing. In fact, Rhosneigr has become a windsurfing and kite surfing mecca attracting enthusiasts from all over Britain.

Around the island, there are lots of other pretty coves and bays where you can enjoy open swimming and safe child-friendly bathing, beach strolls, rock pool exploring and sandcastle competitions!

Cycling is another great way to explore the island with a 120-mile perimeter to explore and plenty of rural trails so that you can explore the scenic countryside. The countryside stretches for miles inland with magnificent views of the Snowdonia Mountains and Llyn Peninsula.

Rhosneigr village itself has a great selection of restaurants and friendly bars, it even has a chip shop if you fancy fish and chips on a Friday.

And so that you don’t have to eat out every day during your holiday, the local general stores provide everything you need to cook and dine at home.

Rhosneigr also has a surf shop (also offering lessons), gift shop, and other shops that you would expect to find on the coast.

Fancy a round of golf? Anglesey Golf Club is just five minutes drive from Rhosneigr village!

Located 15 minutes from the A55, Holyhead 10 miles, Bangor 22 miles and the base of Snowdon is only 40 minutes away (with the wind behind you!).

Anglesey is a great destination for any holiday with so much to offer: beautiful landscapes, gorgeous coastal walks, water sports and family activities galore, as well as cultural and monumental attractions for those looking to learn more about the history of the region.

What’s not to love!
