Ty Llwydan Farm (pronounced Tee Hloo-id-an) has stood on this stretch of Anglesey coastline since the early 1600s, in the same family since 1741, and it arrives with something most holidays can only promise: a beach that is entirely, completely yours. Five minutes down your own private track. This property offers space. Real, uninterrupted space, for families, long weekends, proper gatherings, and the kind of holiday where no one checks their phone because there's simply no reason to.
The skies here are some of the darkest on the island, and on a clear night, the stars are extraordinary. There are even whispers of a smuggling past. Whether legend or history, it only adds to the character of a place that has clearly seen a great deal of life.
Ty Llwydan has been here since the early 1600s and in the same family since 1741. Inside you'll find a brand new kitchen, a separate dining room and a large sitting room. Upstairs, a spacious landing connects four of the five bedrooms, and every window frames a view worth stopping for. The furniture, the fabrics, the little details, all chosen to feel right for a place like this. Fresh and comfortable, but with real character running through it. History, a bit of humour, and more than a few stories worth telling the kids at bedtime.
The five bedrooms sleep ten between them and each has its own name. Lloft Fawr is the master king room with its own en-suite. The Sea Room is a second king. Lloft Bach and Llofft yr Hogiau are the two doubles, and the Pink Room completes the house as a twin.
One of Ty Llwydan's most remarkable features is entirely its own: a private beach and cove, reached directly from the property. Whether that means morning swims before breakfast, bonfires at dusk, or simply somewhere for the children to spend the entire day. This is the kind of thing that turns a holiday into a story, or even a film!!
Important to note: The lane leading down to Ty Llwydan Farm is single track, take it slowly. The farm is a working rural landscape; guests are asked to keep children and pets supervised, follow countryside safety guidance, and not to enter or climb on any agricultural buildings or structures. There is ample private parking on site, with space for multiple vehicles.

The Location
Aberffraw means “Estuary of the River Ffraw,” with ‘Aber’ meaning estuary. The beach, locally called ‘Traeth Mawr’ (“Big Beach”), is a stunning sandy bay surrounded by dunes. This peaceful village on Anglesey’s west coast is perfect for families, dog walkers, and beach lovers. A small shop and Llys Llewelyn tea rooms, known for homemade cakes, serve the community. Nearby, the Church in the Sea (St Cwyfan’s) sits on a tidal islet, magical at low tide. Scenic coastal paths offer views of Bardsey Island, the Llyn Peninsula, and Snowdonia, while Rhosneigr provides more dining and shopping options.
