Meet the Housekeeping Team
This month, we’re handing the spotlight to our incredible housekeeping team as part of The AHL Essentials Series: The People Behind Your Stay.
Meet Lorraine
At the core of it is Lorraine, our Housekeeping Manager, from working closely with owners to ensure properties have everything guests need, to managing rotas, staff, and processes across the island. Always switched on and juggling multiple roles, Lorraine ensures the whole team is aligned and supported.
“This is the hardest but most rewarding role I’ve ever had,” says Lorraine. “It’s more than a job, I love what I do, and I’m proud of the team who work so hard. I put my heart and soul into AHL and wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Meet Berni
Then there’s Berni, queen of QA and Lorraine’s right-hand woman. She’s known for being meticulous, and brilliant at stepping in when Lorraine needs to take a rare (but well-earned) break. In Jamie’s words, she’s the one keeping everything in line, with a smile, of course. “Always there to help, whatever’s needed.” laughs Berni.

The Whole Housekeeping Team
Together, they lead a team of 37 dedicated housekeepers across Anglesey, a mix of contracted and self-employed professionals, all part of the wider AHL family. Some owners use their own trusted housekeepers too, and our team works alongside them to ensure a smooth, well-communicated experience for everyone. Every one of them plays a part in keeping standards high and guests happy.
Every turnaround is carefully planned and delivered, from coordinating with the laundry team in Llangefni to using Breezeway, the smart platform that keeps us on track, leaving no stone unturned. Each task is logged, checked, and signed off, ensuring no detail is missed.

And then comes that final touch: the Arrival Essentials Bag.
Gone are the days of tired welcome baskets. We’ve made the switch to something cleaner, greener, and far more thoughtful. The housekeeping team might work mostly behind the scenes, but their energy and effort fill every room. They’re the reason guests arrive to fresh sheets, warm welcomes, and homes that feel just right.
