3 Day Anglesey Itinerary: Your Perfect Short Break

Time is precious, money matters, and you don’t want to spend your Anglesey getaway stuck in the car. Whether you’re planning a weekend escape, a family holiday, or a cheeky midweek break, this 3-day Anglesey itinerary helps you explore the island’s best beaches, sights, and local eats at your own pace.

From stunning coastal walks and historic landmarks to delicious cafés and hidden foodie gems, each day is packed with activities near our Anglesey holiday cottages, making it easy to relax, explore, and make the most of your short break.

Day One: Newborough, Llanddwyn Island & The Menai Straits

Start your morning with breakfast at Y Marram, think fresh, local, and wonderfully welcoming. From there, take a long walk on Newborough Beach and make your way to Llanddwyn Island, one of Anglesey’s most photographed spots. With its lighthouse, winding paths, and jaw-dropping views, it’s the perfect place to start your trip.

Next, head to Halen Môn for a coffee and a light lunch at Tide cafe and browse their beautiful gift shop or take a tour around their salt cote. You can sit back and take in the views across the Menai Strait to Caernarfon Castle, with Snowdonia rising beyond.

Continue to Llanfairpwllgwyngyll (yes, the longest place name in Wales), before moving on to Menai Bridge for an early Rib Ride boat trip, exhilarating, scenic, and a little bit splashy (remember guests receive 10% off).

End your day in Beaumaris with dinner at one of its foodie gems, The Midland for tapas, The Bull for traditional pub comfort, or one of the many bistros along the front. If you’re staying locally, stroll along the seafront after dinner to end the day in style.

Day Two: North Coast Wonders

Start your day high up at South Stack Lighthouse, the seabirds, cliffs, and sea views are unforgettable.

From here, work your way down the coast to Church Bay, stopping for lunch at the much-loved Ann’s Pantry (think home bakes, hearty dishes, and a warm welcome).

In the afternoon, head east to Lligwy Beach for a relaxed walk or a spot of paddling, then round off the day with dinner in Benllech. You’ll find everything from easy fish and chips to smart dining, all within a short stroll of the sand.

Day Three: Surf, Sunsets & Sea Air

Begin in Rhosneigr with coffee at Café Notos, dog-friendly and perfect for a relaxed start.
If the waves are good, grab a board or book a surf lesson, or just enjoy watching the action from the shore.

By afternoon, make your way to Rhoscolyn for a glass of wine at The White Eagle, with some of the best coastal views you’ll find anywhere. Then it’s on to Trearddur Bay for dinner, try Oceans Edge for a touch of elegance or something more casual by the beach.

End your evening with cocktails at The Stores, the perfect final toast to a trip well spent.

Three days, three sides of Anglesey, and memories you’ll be talking about for months. You might even find yourself booking your next stay before you’ve checked out, and if you do, we’ll thank you with 10% off your next visit.

Base yourself at the Llys Llewellyn complex in Aberffraw or Tamarisk, Caemes Bay if you’re a smaller party, Rhosneigr, Llanfaelog or Benllech if you’re a family, there’s beaches, cafes, and so much more.
