Loved stayingvat this property. In reality it was bigger than the impression from the photograghs. Very comfortable beds and homely.

Ian, 25 March 2025

The cottage is well equipped with great towels and bedding. It is generally clean but none of the windows will open, which did concern me should there have been a fire upstairs, the windows all have crumbling paint and black mould - the blinds are in an awful condition covered in mould. There was o...

Really comfortable cottage in a beautiful location. Near the estuary so good walks straight from the house. Small cleaning issue where there was crumbs/debris left inside one of the cupboards but otherwise the cottage was well kept. Shower very good and helpful to have parking.

Louise, 12 December 2024

Very disappointed with this property. No doormats anywhere to put dirty shoes on. Cobwebs everywhere including inside the crockery cupboard . Had to wash everything before we could use it. Broken toaster. Rusty dirty plate drainer. All the blinds are covered in mould and mildew . It needs deep ...

We had a really pleasant stay at The Eagles, the house is beautiful with lots of character, huge bathrooms & generous bedrooms - upstairs is stunning. Kitchen has all that you need & lovely and modern; I would take your own dishwasher tablets if cooking lots/with a family as we found ourselves havi...

Helena, 29 August 2024

We had a lovely week at the Eagles. It was a well appointed and comfortable cottage, in a great location, close to beaches and local attractions. It was perfect to be able to walk to the local beach. There was only one parking spot that was a little tight to get into, so those with a large vehicle m...

Rachael, 19 May 2024

The Eagles is so cosy and feels like a home from home. Very well equipped but the main sofa needs to be replaced as it's not very comfortable

Anita, 12 November 2023

Second visit to this lovely, comfortable and wonderfully located house. Well equipped, clean and comfortably furnished.

Amanda, 24 July 2023

We had a lovely holiday in aberffraw weather was great and the cottage was very clean and comfortable.

Keith, 22 June 2023

Property comfortable but getting a little jaded and n eeds to be decorated not enough comfortable chairs in lounge.

Guest, 28 April 2023

Comfortable, well equipped and warm with good central heating and a log burner. Tiny negatives but not major spoilers that would improve overall experience are; slightly in need of some redecoration in some places and cleaners need a cobweb brush.

Martin, 02 April 2023

Fantastic week at the Eagles. Really lovely property with well equipped kitchen and great location. Aberffraw beach just a short walk away and lots of other walking routes nearby. Would highly recommend - we hope to return soon.

Celine, 09 March 2023

Great location, fantastic house and plenty of room in the house. Ideal for walking to the beach and surrounding areas and if you want to drive further afield. Would highly recommend to anybody wanting a short or long break as the house has everything you need.

David, 04 March 2023

We had a long weekend at the Eagles it was such a lovely place home from home , comfy beds in a great location just a short walk to beach and the coastal path. Will definitely be returning to this lovely place

Joanne, 19 February 2023

Very nice cottage, very clean. Everything you could think of was in there. Only issue we found was the downstairs shower leaked, the door doesn't shut probably and leaves a gap for the water to come through.

Shirley, 10 February 2023

We spent a lovely and comfortable week at the Eagles. House was very clean and warm on arrival with everything we needed for our stay. Aberffraw is our favourite location with stunning views down the estuary and the wonderful, frequently deserted beach. A definite favourite of ours.

Jane, 14 December 2022

Great place and great location, locals very friendly. Could have just done with some firelighters and more logs for the fire on arrival.

Philip, 13 December 2022

A wonderful stay at the Eagles! The house was beautifully furnished and well equipped- we had everything we needed. Sofas and beds comfy and towels were thick and of good quality. The Eagles, was warm (too warm had to get them to reduce the heat) cosy, and comfortable. The kitchen was well equiped with quality pots, pans utensils etc. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The nautical pieces gave the place a true seaside feel. Loved the log burner for our winter nigh...

Janine, 18 January 2022

Lovely home from home with many mod cons. Would definitely stay again as great location to explore the Island of Anglesey. Tips/advice: take slippers with you, washing machine outside in a closed passage way(no dryer), could do with door mats/trays for dirty shoes, no welcome pack so pack some essen...

Sarah, 06 November 2021

We loved staying in The Eagles. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need including comfy beds! The beach at Aberffraw is one of our favourites and there are plenty of great walks nearby. We even discovered a new cidery within walking distance on our last day. We will definitely be back!

Guest, 14 May 2021

Happy time spent there .feel that more hangers required for outdoor clothes. Only need hooks on back of doors Extra care needed for dirty washing machine in gingell. Next year please provide secateurs for us to prune and tidy shrubs.

Guest, 05 May 2021

It was such a relief to get away to such a beautiful and comfortable house. We all commented on how good the beds were and how well we slept. We loved having meals round the large dining table, we did a lot of cooking in the house due to places in the area not being fully open post lockdown and it w...

The Location

Aberffraw means “Estuary of the River Ffraw,” with ‘Aber’ meaning estuary. The beach, locally called ‘Traeth Mawr’ (“Big Beach”), is a stunning sandy bay surrounded by dunes. This peaceful village on Anglesey’s west coast is perfect for families, dog walkers, and beach lovers. A small shop and Llys Llewelyn tea rooms, known for homemade cakes, serve the community. Nearby, the Church in the Sea (St Cwyfan’s) sits on a tidal islet, magical at low tide. Scenic coastal paths offer views of Bardsey Island, the Llyn Peninsula, and Snowdonia, while Rhosneigr provides more dining and shopping options.
