Aberffraw is a peaceful village on Anglesey’s west coast, perfect for families, dog walkers, and beach lovers. A short walk along the sandy riverbank leads to Traeth Mawr, a wide, sandy bay surrounded by grassy dunes and stunning coastal views. It’s ideal for long walks, building sandcastles, or letting dogs roam free.

The village has a small shop for essentials and the Llys Llewelyn tea rooms, famous for their homemade cakes. A highlight is the nearby Church in the Sea (St Cwyfan’s), a tidal islet that’s magical to visit during low tide.  A firm favourite for weddings so you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse.

For walkers, Aberffraw provides access to scenic coastal paths with breathtaking views of Bardsey Island (sometimes) and the Llyn Peninsula. Nearby Rhosneigr offers more dining and shopping options, ensuring everything you need is within reach.
