An Unforgettable Adventure: Team Building Aboard Rib Ride’s Explorer Vessel
On a sunny morning with the clock reading 09.45, the team from Anglesey Holiday Lettings gathered excitedly at Rib Ride’s headquarters, gearing up for an adventure-filled team building event. Our planned excursion on the waters of North Wales was set to be aboard Rib Ride’s new Explorer vessel, promising a unique journey around the stunning Anglesey coast.
We kicked off the day with a briefing on the day’s activities and safety instructions, after which we had the pleasure of meeting our skipper for the day, Harry. With last-minute dashes to the restroom completed and our life jackets securely fastened, we set off from St George’s Pier at 10am sharp for an unforgettable 2.5-hour trip.
The journey began with a serene glide along the Menai Strait, a narrow stretch of tidal water separating the Isle of Anglesey from the mainland of Wales. We cruised past Millionaire’s Row, marvelling at the beautiful waterfront homes, before spotting Bangor Pier in the distance. We took in the mesmerizing views of the charming coastal town of Beaumaris, a gem of Anglesey, and then headed out to Puffin Island.
As the name suggests, Puffin Island was teeming with puffins. The team gasped in surprise as we watched a seagull daringly snatch a guillemot chick. Yet the wildlife spectacle didn’t end there; we spotted seals lounging on the rocks, their contented faces turned towards the sun, and a myriad of seabirds soaring and diving over the blue sea.
The journey then took us along the lesser explored eastern coastline of Anglesey, towards the picturesque village of Moelfre. We continued past Ynys Dulas, and out towards the tumultuous tidal race off Point Lynas and up towards Amlwch Port. Hours slipped by unnoticed as we explored the breathtaking North Wales coastline like never before.
Rib Ride, as our partner, provides our guests with an exclusive 10% discount on any boat trip, allowing them to experience the wonder of Anglesey from the sea. As the best and original boat tour company in North Wales, Rib Ride consistently offers truly memorable tours.
Departing from Menai Bridge, the location of Rib Ride is a convenient short drive over the Menai Bridge crossings from Bangor. The bridge itself is 15 minutes’ drive from Caernarfon, 25 minutes from Conwy, and 40 minutes from Capel Curig, making the Rib Ride headquarters easily accessible for all.
To sum it up, our day out on the Explorer vessel was undeniably an exhilarating experience, one that will hold a special place in our memories. The beauty of the North Wales coastline was only beaten by a hair’s breadth by the panoramic views from the top of Snowdon and Aber Falls epic waterfall.
A heartfelt thank you to Rib Ride for hosting us – we can’t wait to return for more adventure-filled days like this one. It’s safe to say that our team bonding experience was more than successful; it was an unforgettable adventure on the mesmerising waters of North Wales.
